Increment Planning As Risk Management
It’s almost 15 years since Eric Ries and Steve Blank made MVP (Minimum Viable Products) an essential tool in any product manager’s tool box. Of course, the thinking has grown and evolved. The concept of an MVP is more important than ever, having grown beyond a one-dimensional view of feature validation.
Today, the value of thinking in increments (or MVPs) has broadened to be a more nuanced conversation about risk and learning. We will talk about why you should think in increments (its not just about feature validation), when you should start creating increments (its sooner than you think), and what increments look like (its more contextual than you think).
